Where Will The Skatepark Be Built?

The Tiverton Skate Park will be located on a 10,000 square foot area at the corner of entrance to new Bulgarmarsh Park and New Tiverton Library (see map below area #5).  The new basketball courts and new ball field parking will frame the park. This part of Tiverton will become a safe new meeting area for area residents and their children.

Why Build A Public Skatepark in Tiverton Park?

  • Skateboarding and board sports are some of the fastest growing sports in the world.
  • Board sports can be done individually or as a group.
  • Tiverton is centrally located to East Bay and Southeastern Massachusetts.
  • Tiverton Skate Park will be a safe location where our children can skateboard, scooter, Rollerblade and BMX.
  • The Tiverton Skate Park will bring in people from other towns, which will benefit Tiverton business.
  • The park will be an asset to the town of Tiverton and surrounding communities.
  • Visit any town park, the skate parks are always busy.

What Will The Skatepark Look Like?

The plan is to build an all concrete low maintenance skate park with many street, bowl and vertical elements. The attached image shows what our “dream” park would look like. The park will be aesthetically pleasing with low organic forms and landscaping. This type of park is very sculptural and attractive.

How Much Will It Cost?

Our “dream park” would cost over $150,000. We currently have over $35,000. raised through the efforts of Ethan Smith. As an asset that all in the town and surrounding communities will enjoy we ask for any donation of money or services.

im a skater me and my friends dont need all this, this is all bowls, i think a few kickers a manny pad a box and maby a stairset would be fun enough

A park like this would be incredible. Its about time someone consider a poured park. Other towns have done it for years. Its great for the community. Infinite lines to enjoy. There are stairs everywhere Danny… Not a bowl or pool to be found. Most town parks are all the same pre-fab ramps. The equivalent of going to 10 different ski areas and having all the same runs. Good move and please accept my $100.00

I stopped by yesterday to check out the park and progress, and it looks so sick! I was wondering when the opening ceremony will be. CAN NOT WAIT to go skate the park every single weekend until my legs give out.

Checked out the park. Good work on this, man. I’m really impressed. I share Russ’s sentiments, I never thought I’d be afforded a park like this 10 minutes from my house. Thank you sincerely for providing a beautiful environment to huck my carcass across.

And Danny. A few kickers, manny pad, and box can be found at any one of the 30 awful pre-fab skateparks littering the New England area. Besides, you should skate some tranny. It will help your street skating immensely. Don’t worry, it’s scary at first but you’ll learn.

I am looking for a point of contact. We have a few ideas to possibly help perserve the skate park for spray painters, etc from tagging all over the new park! Email me for details on our idea!

dont listen to that idiot. the bowls are sick, this has a nice west coast concrete park feel. every other lame park in this area has kickers and manny pads. this is gonna be a rad place to skate
